i've had some trouble getting internet access travelling with a tour group. there are lots of internet cafes but we are travelling in luxe style and internet at these hotels is super expensive. the group just dispersed, so now i'm back in hobo-land. moving from this amazing hotel to a dorm room. but i'll have more freedom, and more rest. i've been exhausted from the touring pace.
today my plan is to go to the beach and relax. shit, i forgot the whole point of going to the internet cafe is i need to sign up for a hostel. i'm going to do that now. btw, i found a lovely place from the guidebook in jaffa, but one of the guides said he wouldn't be comfortable staying there. he said, well, i guess you survived two days in the muslim quarter, and i wouldn't be comfortable staying there either. both places are tourist central, what do they think is going to happen? death by association/osmosis with muslims? israelis are smart, but rational... not so much. i think that applies to the region in general.
